The glass cutting process is an elementary step in glass processing. When cutting the float glass into the big jumbo sizes or when cutting the end sizes the glass edge quality is decisive and critical to the efficient processing down line.

By cutting glass accurately and keeping excess to a minimum considerable savings can be made both in time and running costs of processing machinery.
Inappropriate cutting oils can cause splinters and chips which damage the surface during transport and the following processing steps.
Oily residues cause adhesion problems during processing (e.g. laminating, mirror silvering, coating, IG etc.)
