ACEPHOB 6616

ACEPHOB 6616 is a solvent based coating for sandblasted glass. It gives the glass a velvety aspect (comparable to acid treated glass) and covers the glass surface with an effective protective layer. Contamination such asfingerprints can be easily removed.

Instructions for Use

Preparation

At first the glass dust sticking to the sandblastedglass surface must be removed by either:

• cleaning the glass with compressed air
• wiping off the glass dust with an antistatic cloth
• cleaning the glass in a suitable glass washing machine (in case of questions please contact our application laboratory)

Application

Optimum results are obtained by applyingACEPHOB 6616 either vertically or horizontally with a spray gun (e.g. Walther pilot 93-ND).

If a spray gun is not available, ACEPHOB 6616 can also be applied manually using a clean cloth or a new paint roller.

Any irregular/uneven application can be corrected by further polishing with another clean cloth. To ensure complete drying, the coated glass is left overnight.

Usage

In order to achieve a uniform application ACEPHOB 6616 should be used economically. More than 10 -20 ml/m² should not be applied.

Important: Glass coated with ACEPHOB 6616 must be cleaned with commercial glass cleaners only! Pure solvents must be avoided!

Handling

ACEPHOB 6616 is classified and labelled in accordance with EC directives or respective national laws as “highly flammable” and “harmful“. Storage

Stored in well closed containers at temperatures between 5 and 35 °C the minimum shelf life of ACEPHOB 6616 is 1 year. Temperatures higher than 40 °C and frost must be avoided.
