AC RESISTAIN TC
AC RESISTAIN TC is a product specifically designed to prevent glass-corrosion. It is a liquid concentrate which has to be mixed with demineralized water prior to use. The solution is then sprayed/applied onto the glass surface. An interleavant powder (e.g. AC SEPAROL F) has to be applied after drying.
Specification
Appearance: clear liquid Density: 1,1 kg /l pH (5 % solution): approx. 3
Application
The recommended use concentration of AC RESISTAIN TC is 5 percent. To prepare the solution fill the required amount of demineralized water in a tank made of plastics, stainless steel or glass and add the required amount of AC RESISTAIN TC. Stir until an homogeneous mixture is obtained.
To prepare the quantities of a 5 % AC RESISTAIN TC solution as listed below, you have to use the following quantities of water and AC RESISTAIN TC respectively :
| Quantity of a 5 % AC RESISTAIN TC solution to be prepared | Water | AC RESISTAIN TC |
| 104,5 l | 100 l | 4,5 l |
| 209 l | 200 l | 9 l |
| 522,5 l | 500 l | 22,5 l |
| 1045 l | 1000 l | 45 l |
This solution can now be sprayed/applied onto the glass surface. According to our current experience a minimum amount of 5 – 8 ml/m² solution AC RESISTAIN TC is required. After drying a coating of 62 – 100 mg/m² remains on the glass. This is reached by using a good application system (e.g. Grafotec Wet Spray System) at temperatures of about 60 °C. Under these conditions the drying time is less than 30 seconds. An improvement of the anti-stain effect can be achieved by using a more concentrated solution.
Storage
AC RESISTAIN TC has to be stored in well closed packaging (avoid freezing). Minimum shelf-life-time is 1 year.
The solution of AC RESISTAIN TC should not be stored for more than one week (container well closed). Before refilling the empty tank has to be cleaned very properly with hot water to prevent microbial attack.
Safety advice
Use suitable protective glasses when handling the product. Avoid breathing the spray when applying the solution. Further advice is given in the Material Safety Data Sheet.
